One of the most common prayers we pray in class with our students as Catholic Educators is the Hail Mary. The Hail Mary (or Ave Maria) is a short prayer to ask the Virgin Mary, Mother of God, to pray for us.
Hail Mary,
full of Grace,
the Lord is with thee.
blessed art thou among women,
and blessed is the fruit
of thy womb, Jesus.
Holy Mary,
Mother of God,
pray for us sinners now,
and at the hour of our death.
Amen.
I put together this collection of Hail Mary activity ideas to help you introduce the prayer to students so they can meditate on the meaning of the words and integrate it into their personal prayer lives.
At The Religion Teacher, you can also find Rosary activities, May Crowning activities, and an Our Father lesson plan and activity.
